Although you would never guess it now, during his sophomore year of high school, Mark Callister had a full on afro. He keeps the picture proof of his seventies hairstyle locked away in his desk, but a funny picture is about all Dr. Callister has to hide. He openly shares his wisdom and time with all of his students, from the most unsure beginning advertising student to the most advanced know-it-all senior. Everyone leaves his classroom feeling like they have learned something and that they are a valued part of the program.
While Dr. Callister’s official biography boasts of numerous degrees (including a Ph. D and an M.B.A.), half a dozen magazines he has published work in, huge brands he has consulted for, as well as numerous awards, he himself would never mention a thing. It is far more common to find him celebrating the joys of finding significance in pages of numbers or explaining the null universe to those who do not share his love or understanding of the beautiful world of research.
