Kevin Kelly is the resident “Don Draper” of BYU’s Advertising program, if only because he is the lone faculty member who dares wear a sport coat daily. His foppish ways are remnant of his time as a copywriter at Ogilvy & Maither in New York. As Creative Director there, he worked on accounts such as American Express, Kimberly-Clark, and Kraft among many others while also maintaining the position of “quintessential family man”. In his six years at Brigham Young University, he has nurtured many a fledgling copywriter, art director, planner, and account executive with his honest insight into creative strategy, brand positioning, and consumer behavior.
Despite all Draper’s bravado and showmanship, he could never pull off the cardigan quite like Kevin can.
