Jim Gartner, award winning commercial and “Glory Road” director, came and spoke to the AdLab and Film students last week. There were many things that I loved liked when he talked about my “Some Like it Hot” boyfriend, Jack Lemon, or when he shared some of this work.
I was amazed that he spent almost two hours answering questions, and was really shocked that he remembered my name as I walked out of the room.
But among all those great things, my heart skipped a beat when I found out, he was a fellow Michigander. He understands the wonderfulness of salt bagels and Faygo pop. So from one Michigander to the next, thank you Jim, for spending your afternoon with us. You are proof that nice guys finish first.
