Adlab Students Create Winning PSA for National Competition
Zoë Taylor, Bethany Curtis, and Rachel Ankeney won the Project Yellow Light Competition. The National competition tries to bring awareness to the dangers of texting and driving. The students also saw their winning TV Spot play in Times Square. Congratulations!
Adlab Students Take 2nd Place in National WMSF Competition
Comms students Katie Russell and Harrison Haycock (advertising) took part in a week-long experience in Washington, DC. As part of the Washington Media Scholars Foundation Media Plan Case Competition, the students were able to network with some of the top minds in the media industry.

Lerma Creative Director David Morring inspires with “He Gets Us” Campaign
David Morring, the creative director behind the recent “He Gets Us” campaign, visited campus on April 6 and spoke to comms students. David is an accomplished, award-winning Creative Director at LERMA. David shared ideas about how to stay true to your faith while working in the creative world. The “He Gets Us” campaign, which aired during the 2023 Super Bowl, was unique in its message centered around inviting people to know Jesus Christ.

BYU AdLab Dominates ANDY Shortlist
The International ANDY Awards debuted their shortlisted entries and the School of Communications, via the BYU AdLab, has 10 pieces of work on the shortlist. This is an international competition with worldwide representation, including Germany, Brazil, Korea, and the US. BYU also has the most shortlisted entries of any University. Having so many entries make the shortlist is a prestigious honor for our advertising students.
