Young Ones from Brigham Young University

The BYU AdLab had some tremendous success at the One Club for Creativity’s 2022 Young Ones Competition. The School of communications was well represented winning 62 total awards over three competitions, The Young Ones ADC Awards, The Young Ones One Show, and the Young Ones Portfolio Award. 

The AdLab placed first place in the Young One’s Portfolio competition with five seniors in the advertising creative track winning awards:

Hailey Skinner and Lauren Dykes for Advertising (they were hired as a creative team at Media Arts lab, Apple’s bespoke Ad Agency)

Andrew Rhee (Hired as a Copywriter at McCann NY, and is a Director’s Fellow at the Commercial Directing Diversity Program), Taylor Garrett (a Directing Resident at Free the Work), and Sam Jorgensen for Film and Video.

The AdLab also placed first place in the Young Ones ADC awards with 54 total winning entries. So many great campaigns and creative pieces of work.

The overall competition this year also included entries from Art Schools with programs in Design, Animation, Illustration, photography, and Typography. The AdLab placed in the top three of the world rankings, which is remarkable that a single advertising sequence can compete with world-renowned Art Schools, only delivering points and awards from the advertising categories.
