Adlab grabs 7 CLIO AWARDS
The School of Communications via the BYU AdLab has been awarded 7 top honors in the CLIO Awards! Congrats to all of the student teams and their amazing creative work!
BYU Steals Half of the ANDY AWARD SHORTLIST
The BYU AdLab has 16 shortlisted entries in the International ANDY Awards. Almost half of all shortlisted entries from all over the world are from the AdLab. It’s a huge honor! Congrats to all of the students who worked so hard in a very uncertain pandemic year.
Addy’s A-Plenty!
The School of Communications, via the BYU AdLab, was awarded 38 ADDY awards in the Utah Chapter of the American Advertising Awards, from 27 different projects, with 10 Gold ADDYs and 28 Silver ADDYS ranging from print ads to tv commercials and everywhere in between, with many awards in the craft of art direction, copywriting, and cinematography.
ADLAB & Terry&Sandy
The Advertising Students in the BYU AdLab had the pleasure of hearing from the founders of the first all-female-founded ad agency to land on the AdAge A-List, Terri Meyer and Sandy Greenberg of Terri&Sandy in NYC. They shared their vision of “wanting to found an agency where people could be happy” and gather a collection of “people with integrity.” They shared their philosophy to “make friends with everyone you come in contact with” because that is when you make the best creative work together.
Marcus Collins AAF Hall of Achievement Inductee Chats with the Adlab
The AdLab hosted guest speaker Marcus Collins at their weekly AdLab “all-agency” training meeting on 10/8/2020. Marcus is the newest member of the AAF Hall of Achievement, inducted this Fall. He is an African-American superstar in the advertising community, having been the Head of Strategy at Translation in NYC and Chief Consumer Connections Officer at Doner in Detroit, and most recently a Professor at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Adlab lands some pencils at D&AD
The BYU AdLab won four pencils at D&AD, a prestigious international creative competition in London. We won a Yellow Pencil for a Twitter campaign as well three Wood Pencils, one for Twitter, one for Penguin Books, and one for Microsoft X-Box. International ANDY’S for the ADLAB
The International ANDYs revealed their Gold award recipients on April 27th and the BYU School of Communications via the BYU AdLab received three Gold Student ANDYs. 2020 graduating seniors Connor Dean, Cam Tribe, and Enoch Lui won Gold for their gripping message about immigration with LA Times -Your Decisions Write Our Stories. https://vimeo.com/386350429 Cam Tribe and Connor Dean also won
